What an honour it was to be selected as the asian wedding Photographers for Aashya & Irfan's wedding. We were delighted to meet such a wonderful couple and their families.
To be honest, at this time we had not photographed many Muslim weddings so we were really excited to get to know more about the customs and traditions. however, our approach to all wedding is the same, in that we put our heart and souls into capturing beautiful memories and moments. After all, any wedding is about the union of a couple and their families.
Aashya initially contacted us through our website. After a few Discussions it transpired that Aashya lives on the same road as one of us but had never met or even seen each other!
We met Aashya and her family at her home for our first meeting. honestly, we could not have been happier to have met such a nice family. Our first meeting with a potential client is usually arranged so all parties can meet and answer or ask any questions. We also bring albums and other products such as folio boxes so our clients can see, touch and feel the physical products.
All of our wedding albums are bespoke and handmade in New Zealand by Queensberry who are well known to be best wedding album Manufacturers in the world. If they made handbags they would be likened to a Hermes!
In terms of Photography coverage, we covered the Nikkah at home and at the mosque, The civil marriage at Arianna Gardens and Walima at The Decorium.
On the day of the civil Aashya got ready at a hotel very close to Arianna Gardens and wore a wonderful white wedding dress with Christian Louboutin shoes to match. Irfan was looking dapper and also wearing a pair of Louboutins. Aashya made a Cinderella Entrance in her fairytale carriage Proceeded by beautiful white horses. Irfan on the other hand chose to arrive in slightly more modern modes of transport, A mercedes GTS and an Audi V10 R8.
The civil was a wonderful outdoor ceremony and it was a glorious summers day. It was a day enjoyed by all. The rukhsati at he end was quite emotional. This is when the bride leaves her family with her new husband. This is the equivalent to the Vadai or Doli.
The following day we started off photographing the newly married couple at The Shard in London. They were on the 42nd floor and had an absolutely stunning view of London. Aashya looked stunning in her Soltee Dress and Irfan looking super cool too. Again it was another wonderful event with everyone having a great time.
It is a hard line of work wedding photography. sometimes up to 24 hours on our feet with heavy cameras strapped to our backs having to be100% focussed and creative at all times. We then have the endless hours of editing to look forward too! But, there is nothing like the satisfaction we get when our couples first see the Photographs or open their albums for the first time. Every emotion and memory comes flooding back. It is actually very emotional for us to experience that moment too. The hard graft has paid off! This is why we do what we do.
If you have a wedding coming up we would be very happy to provide you with a free bespoke proposal and a consultation. Get in touch on our contact page.
We hope you enjoy the photographs.
